Temporary Crown and Bridge Care
The following instructions are VERY critical to the permanent cementation of
your crown and/or bridge. During the permanent cementation procedure it is
important to have your gums as healthy as possible so that they do not
bleed. Blood does not mix well with permanent cement and could cause the
premature loss of the crown or bridge. Though crowns do not always last a
lifetime, we take effort hoping they will. The following rinse is important
to the healing of your gums.
Mouthrinse ingredients:
Mix all
ingredients together and carry a little bottle with you so that you can
rinse throughout the day. Please continue rinsing until your next
appointment. It is VERY important to keep using the rinse 4-5 times per day
until your permanent crown/bridge is cemented.
Peroxyl
or Glyoxide can be purchased at a drug store if you prefer a commercial
product.
